Psalms 6 | King James Bible |
Chapter 7 | |
| Shiggaion of David, which he sang1 unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. |
| Lest he tear4 my soul like a lion, rending [it] in pieces,6 while [there is] none to deliver.56 |
| O LORD my God, if I have done1 this; if there be iniquity in my hands; |
| If I have rewarded1 evil unto him that was at peace6 with me; (yea, I have delivered17 him that without cause is mine enemy:)6 |
| Let the enemy6 persecute17 my soul, and take55 [it]; yea, let him tread down4 my life upon the earth, and lay55 mine honour in the dust. Selah. |
| Arise,3 O LORD, in thine anger, lift up10 thyself because of the rage of mine enemies:6 and awake3 for me [to] the judgment [that] thou hast commanded.14 |
| So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about:25 for their sakes therefore return3 thou on high. |
| The LORD shall judge4 the people: judge3 me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity [that is] in me. |
| Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end;4 but establish34 the just: for the righteous God trieth6 the hearts and reins. |
| My defence [is] of God, which saveth56 the upright in heart. |
| God judgeth6 the righteous, and God is angry6 [with the wicked] every day. |
| If he turn4 not, he will whet4 his sword; he hath bent1 his bow, and made it ready.34 |
| He hath also prepared52 for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth4 his arrows against the persecutors.5 |
| Behold, he travaileth17 with iniquity, and hath conceived1 mischief, and brought forth1 falsehood. |
| He made1 a pit, and digged4 it, and is fallen4 into the ditch [which] he made.4 |
| His mischief shall return4 upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down4 upon his own pate. |
| I will praise55 the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise17 to the name of the LORD most high. |
